Wonder World Turns One: Celebrating a Year of Play, Learning & Community
Halifax, Nova Scotia — Wonder World is celebrating its one-year anniversary on Friday, January 2, 2026, marking one full year since opening its doors to families in the Halifax area.
Wonder World is a premium indoor play space in Halifax, Nova Scotia, thoughtfully designed for children of all ages to explore, learn, and grow through play. The space features a wide variety of play structures, slides, and activities, along with a dedicated toddler zone. Beyond play, Wonder World offers a cozy café featuring locally sourced products, comfortable seating areas, and a curated retail section with children’s books, toys, puzzles, creative kits, and art supplies sourced from Europe, Canada, England, and local Halifax publishers.
The one-year anniversary celebration will take place January 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., during regular business hours. Families visiting that day can enjoy complimentary pizza and cake, face painting, and other fun activities throughout the celebration.
As part of the festivities, Wonder World will host an Anniversary Prize Draw (no purchase necessary). Prize draw entries open December 26 and close January 2 at the end of the day, with entries accepted in-store only. Prizes include five 10-visit play passes, along with five additional prize bundles containing toys, art supplies, and children’s books. The prize draw will take place on January 3 at 1:00 p.m. AST. Winners will be contacted using the information provided on their entry and will have seven days to claim their prize.
In addition, the first 100 customers on January 2 will receive a Wonder World drawstring bag, Wonder World t-shirt, and a cake pop, with the first 50 of those customers also receiving a Faber-Castell activity kit.
During its first year, Wonder World hosted over 300 birthday parties, proudly served as a Power Hour sponsor for the IWK Foundation, contributing $7,500 to the 41st IWK Telethon for Children, and supported local schools, associations, and non-profits through donated play passes and merchandise. Some of the most meaningful feedback has come directly from children, who have said, “I love this place,” “I don’t want to go home,” “My favorite place,” and “We will definitely be back.”
